I believe that everyone can lead a happy and fulfilling life so I would work with you compassionately, at your pace, to help explore whatever is troubling you. I work with adults, children, young people and couples and I understand that choosing who to work with is an important decision so I offer a free 20 minute consultation where you can ask me any questions you have to help you decide if I am the right person for you. I work face to face and online working with trauma, anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties and I provide short and long term therapy.
I believe that everyone, irrespective of age, or life stage, deserves a safe space to speak, be listened to and heard, with empathy and without judgement, to support acceptance, growth and self-healing. I will take your concerns seriously and work with you compassionately.
As a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Registered Member (MBACP) and National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society Accredited Member (NCPSM acc.) my practice offers an environment of trust, respect and confidentiality following ethical practice and guidelines.
Research shows that key to meeting goals in therapy is having a trusting relationship between client and therapist, I am committed to working safely with you, at your pace, to find new ways of looking at difficulties and managing emerging feelings.
It is possible that you may feel sad, tense, lonely, angry or simply unable to feel calm or relaxed, or you may feel troubled or anxious without really knowing why. You may be experiencing known trauma or have low self-esteem, low-confidence or feelings of guilt. Sometimes there can be complex feelings of being stuck or that everything is overwhelming. Whatever brings you to counselling I will work with you listening, without judgement, so that feelings can be shared to gently explore, understand and work towards self-healing.
Coming to counselling is a first step towards reflecting and thinking about how to live a more fulfilling life. I am committed to person-centred practice, which means meeting you with empathy, non-judgement, compassion and respect, carefully listening to, and understanding, the unique person that you are and the experiences that you bring.
